Walter and Vivienne meet and fall in love. The narratives that connect their shared life equally reflect the nuances that make each individual.
A combined scientific and poetic viewpoint explores the notion of what it is to be alive and what it is to feel alive. Across two chapters, the book contemplates specific traits or needs that fulfil us as living things.
Mr & Mrs Gren is printed entirely by hand using silkscreen and letterpress. The book was produced in a week at The Exchange Gallery in May 2011 as part of PRINT!
The pages are silkscreen printed with black acrylic ink on white cartridge paper, with a chapter divider on grey drawing paper, and letterpress chapter headings in grey relief ink. The books are bound with grey paper-backed cloth and a silver fastener.
Mr & Mrs Gren is a limited edition of just 40 copies, each one signed by us, the artists. The book measures 16.5cm x 18cm.
