Grey Heron silkscreen print

A three colour silkscreen print of a watchful Grey Heron surveying the shallows. I've used pencil, pen and pastel to make the stencils, which allows me to put in a good amount of texture and gives a looser feel with a nice bit of contrast in the overlays.
The proportions are scaled up from collectable tea cards. I have a stack of Brooke Bond ones from my Grandma and the bird ones were illustrated beautifully by Charles Tunnicliffe in the 1960s. I really like their long thin format and thought it'd be especially fitting for this long thin Heron. They're such beautiful birds.
