The Slopes zine
A hand screen printed zine in celebration of the open space up behind where we live - The Northern Slopes - A familiar landscape I cherish. It's nothing special, but also very special. I walk there a lot, in all seasons, charting the seasons in fact, listening out for chiffchaffs, counting magpies, and saying hello to the horses, as well as getting disappointed when I see fly-tipped mattresses and tvs and then heartened when I see the volunteers have tidied them up ready to be collected. The blackberries are just starting to be ready and there's a plum tree we're keeping an eye on. There's badgers and foxes and mice and goldfinches. I love it.
This booklet tells all about the slopes - it's hand screen printed in three colours on a single sheet (A3 size) and folded up to form a book that's A6 size (postcard). It's printed on both sides, so the 'inside' can be unfolded to reveal a map.
